DR. R.Venkatesalu the fourth son of (Late) Sri.S.N.Rangaswamy Naidu, the Founder of the well known Industrial group known as ‘SRI RAMAKRISHNA GROUP’ is immensely popular for his philanthropic activities. He is called affectionately as ‘R.V.’.

DR.R.V was born on 12.8.1922 and had his School and College education in Coimbatore. He had started his carrier as the Administrator of Sri Karthikeya Spinning and Weaving Mills Ltd., at a very early age, from then onwards he started serving in the fields of Industries, Medical Educational and the needy poor.

He has Promoted several Industrial units (as many as 20 units) under his stewardship. But for his untiring enthusiasm the S.N.R. Sons Charitable Trust would not have reached the present height of successfully running a large multi-speciality hospital with 400 beds and sophisticated modern equipments - Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences educating the students in the allied fields of medical services like physiotherapy, Pharmacy and Nursing Courses, and Sri Ramakrishna Kalyanamandapam - a Community Hall. Sri Ramakrishna Childrens School and Sri Ramakrishna Matriculation School are considered to be the model schools maintaining very strict discipline and high standards of S.N.R. Sons College which is offering the most needed courses like B.A. Corporate secretaryship, B.Sc., Computer Science and Electronic course in addition to B.Sc., Catering and Hotel Management which arts and employment oriented courses introduced for the first time in India and this is an added feather on his crown. A were Arts and Science College in the name of Sri Ramakrishna Arts and Science College for Women has also been established by him recently with a view to provide higher education for women. Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College & Sri Ramakrishna Polytechnic, Sri Ramakrishna Dental College and Hospital , Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology were later started and are functioning well.  for imparting Engineering Education to the needy rural people.

He is also one of the Trustees in the Board of Trustees of P.S.G. & Sons Charities which provides education in all the fields of Arts, Science, including Medicine and Engineering

DR.R.V is a staunch devotee of Lord Iyyappa and he has been regular in Sabari Mala Pilgrimage trip for more than 30 years. He is actively associated with Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Trust and Sri Chinnayananda Trust in Coimbatore and there are many more activities to add his service to Religions. He is also the president of Coimbatore Cosmopolitan Club.

‘RAMAKRISHNA’ stands for quality Dr.R.V never agrees to compromise the quality for anything. His wife SMT.VELUMANI VENKATESALU is from the family of Industrial/Education stalwarts of Coimbatore the P.S.G. His sons popularly known as V.R and V.G also equally participated in all the fields. His Second Son V.G. was Mayor of Coimbatore Corporation in 1996 - 2001.

DR.R.V. is also known for his magnanimity, simplicity, soft nature and his silky way of handling any serious problems which disarms others in front of him.

He had been awarded the ‘SEVARATNA’ by parthasarathy International Cultural Society, Madras and STAUNCH (Doctorate) by Inter American University (Arizona) in recognition of his Yeomen Service to the public. He has been awarded the honourary ‘Doctor of Law’ in the year 1992 by Bharathiar University for his outstanding services in the fields of education and medical services.
